Alicia Keys is known for her phenomenal voice and piano skills, but she’s also given back to many disadvantaged communities in her social justice work. Keys, apart from earning 15 Grammys, went to South African in the early 2000s to perform for MTV in Cape Town. After, she noticed the growing AIDS epidemic, meeting with survivors. She decided to found Keep A Child Alive (KCA) to provide more HIV meds to the continent. The non-profit is meant to provide more housing and healthcare related to HIV/AIDS to India and Africa. She also wrote “More Myself: A Journey” with words from Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama.  It’s a documentary of her path, starting from day one up until her philanthropic journey today.
