Teen Volunteer Program

The City of Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Department will host a Teen Counselor in Training (C.I.T) Summer Program. The program will allow teenagers in grades nine through 12 to gain volunteer hours and work experience in a fun setting. The nine-week program starts June 13 and lasts through August 12. A mandatory orientation is required.

Teenagers will be working from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the cost is $100 to cover field trips, activities, and other transportation costs.

Teenagers who successfully complete the program will be considered for future job opportunities with the city. The deadline to apply is May 6.

The program is available at Highlands Recreation Center, Mitchell Moore Recreation Center, McNair Recreation Center, and North Pompano Recreation Center. Call 954–786–4119 for more information.
