The City of Pompano Beach recently received the green light from the Broward County Commission to move forward with Pompano Park South Activity Center, 777 Isle Capri Circle, currently where the Isle Casino is located. The project will bring a “world-class” destination to Pompano Beach. It will complement the current Isle Casino site with a partnership with Eldorado Resorts, upscale dining, retail, and entertainment.
The Cordish Companies of Baltimore, Maryland will redevelop the casino from what it is now to its signature Live! Entertainment center, which is a branded entertainment district, famous for its work at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood. The Cordish Companies will build an additional 1.5 million square feet of industrial warehouse space, 4,100 multi-family residences, 300,000 square feet of commercial space, and 1 million square feet of commercial recreation space. Also, approximately 600 of the residences will be set aside for affordable housing.
The entire project will consist of 230 acres and will also include a public lake for recreation use.
