This November there may be some new candidates on the Pompano Beach dais. Qualifying dates for the upcoming election are 12 p.m., Monday, June 13 through 12 p.m., Friday, June 17.
The candidates that have filed for seats are:
District 2 Commission Candidates
David van der Most, a Pompano Beach realtor has raised $600 in campaign finances as of May 26.
District 3 Commission Candidates
Alison Fournier manages long-term real estate. She’s raised $5,435 in campaign finances and has spent $2,042.67 as of May 26.
Thomas “Tom” McMahon currently holds the seat and is seeking reelection. He is the owner of Power and Play Motorsports. He’s raised $1,600 in campaign finances and has spent $45.61 as of May 26.
District 4 Commission Candidates
Kevin Eason Sr. is a community advocate. He’s raised $100 as of May 26.
Mary Scofield-Phillips is a Pompano Beach realtor and the wife of former commissioner Ed Phillips. She’s raised $1,100 and spent $297.27 as of May 26.
District 5 Commission Candidates
Cyndy Floyd currently holds the seat. She prides herself on being a pilar for her community. She’s raised $9,416.81 and spent $2,676.84 as of May 26.
